Today we are 37 Weeks & 3 Days Pregnant ~ Only 18 Days To Go!
So There Is Hope:
Childbirth Class:The 3rd and final of the three sessions, we went over a whole lot of postpartum information. I actually learned quite a # of valuable things too :)! Then Jaime (the RN teaching the class) took us on a Tour of L&D. It was great; we found out some info about the rooms and the visiting arangements, got to see the Laboring rooms. Then she took us to the Postpartum rooms, we got to see the regular rooms & the very-very-expensive-out-of-pocket-cost-rooms ($500+ /night)! Then she showed us the "over-flow" rooms (where they put postpartum if they're super busy). We also got to stop by the Nursery and "oooohhh" & "ahhhhh" and "aweeeeee" to our hearts content over the little peanuts. Apparently it was a very busy night. There was one guy standing outside the nursery apparently keeping an eye on his JUST-born-twin-sons it was so cute Lmao!!!!! Mom & I hit the cafe on the way out and bumped into a friend from Middle School! Amir lol it was so weird I just felt someone tap me on the shoulder and spun around and there he was; looked just the same as he did in 8th grade except taller lol! Unfortunatly he was having a very bad week (Father was in for emergency surgery, him & sister were in for a car-crash) OY!!
The Other Half:
So Erik called me while I was cooking dinner (around 530/6) (before the class) to see how my doctor's appointment had gone. I had complained to him the night before about swollen feet. He said when he woke up his ankles/feet were so swollen he could barely walk. I laughed. He said at least I know he's sympathetic. I love this man! I filled him in on my doctors appointment, and because I was in a rush we said our I-Love-You's and I told him I'd call when I got home after class. After class I called.. but he didn't answer :( Turns out he passed out on the couch lol. He called me at 8am this morning to apologize ^_^ he's so cute hehe! Then he ended up dropping by for a few minuets :) which of course made my day! Spoke to him just now (9pm) for a few minuets but neither of us had much to say. We made hap-hazard plans for tomorrow though all depending on Mom...
My Day:
Dad dropped Steph at Queens College and went shopping. I picked Steph up from Queens College and we stopped on Main St. for a slice of pizza YUMMMMM!!!!! My feet have gotten so much more swollen that my toes actually ache/hurt :( and my hand has gotten worse as well to where I can't make a fist w/o the same ache/hurt :(. I tried to rest and keep them elevated, Steph was nice about bringing me drink-age. Elevation doesn't seem to be helping so when Dad got back from shopping I helped put everything away. Did some more dishes. Made Lemonade & Ice-Tea. Cleaned 1 package of raw chicken (I have to do the other one tomorrow) and set the table for dinner. Now I'm just relaxing a bit before I go down to have a little desert ^_^ last of the baby-shower cake LoL. Then it's off to bed.
Tomorrow Mom & I have a Childcare Class to attend at 10am at LIJ and there is also a free "car-seat installation check" at the parking garage so we are going to have them install the extra base in Mom's car. This part is not in cement yet but I have my fingers crossed... I'm hoping mom will drop me at Erik's to spend a few hours with him. She'd have to come pick me up later on as we have to be back out on LI anyway for dinner at 7pm with Aunt Joanie and Ruth. So yeah.... fingers crossed lol.
I would really like to get some more work done on the blanket(s) I'm in the middle of making for Joshua.
And I still need to decide if I am going to NJ on Sunday for the Bridal Shower or not :\
