Child-Care Class:
Mom & I had a Child-care class at the hospital this morning we thought it was at 10am. Turns out it started at 9am x_x lol! We got there for most of it though; guess it's a good thing I get to take it free though since we did miss like an hour! We did stop at my favorite diner after for some lunch. I had one of their amazing burgers w/ seasoned fries (staying away from the salt so spicy fries were perfect) & mom had chicken fingers that turned out to be awesome as well.
A Necessary Evil:
Mom, Steph & I went out to BRU to pick up some of the things I still need for the baby. I had a wonderful gift card from some cousins & some money from a family friend and from my grandparents (both sides). We spent about $180, and that was 90% of the stuff :) INCLUDING the breast pump ($80) so we didn't do so bad. Granted I had a bunch of coupons lol! By the time we paid and got back to the car though the swelling had gotten so bad that well.. let's just say I didn't have any visible ankles anymore! I still don't x_x.
Other Things:
Steph made chocolate chocolate chip muffins, I'm kind of border line on them as I don't really like chocolate breads >_>" they kind of tasted like not-very-sweet-cupcakes to me. But hey, it was good enough to eat one and enjoy it with a glass of water, and she likes them which is all that counts I suppose. So props to her.
On our way home this evening Mom& I stumbled across a pretty bad accident on the N.S. Pkwy; a mini-van hit a motorcycle. So we pulled into the police precinct and notified them (it was 5ft from the accident which most people don't realize). I really hope the guy that was on the bike is OK!
I ended up taking a nice nap this afternoon, I was so swollen up and so exhausted and achy I turned the AC on and laid down, and was OUT like a champ lol.
I got two packages in the mail today. One was from Trish's family, a really nice gift; a Bouncer which is just priceless with a little infant (it bounces them and vibrates and plays music etc). The other was 2 out of 3 nursing bras Mom & I ordered from Target last week. We ordered 1 in what I thought was my current size and 2 in the next size up, figuring that usually when your milk comes in you go up at least 1 size. Well as it turns out, the "next size up" fits me now and is even a little snug O_O! I will have to return the smaller one when it gets here for the NEXT size up from this! I'm freaking out.. I'm wearing a 40D now and it's snug; I have to start ordering like... a 42DD!!!!! Mom says anything more than a handfull is a waste. I guess it's a good thing Erik has BIG hands!
Mommy's Dinner:
So my mom, my Aunt Joanie and my mom's friend Ruth took me out to dinner tonight. My Aunt Joanie & Ruth wanted to do it because they weren't able to go to the baby shower (they had work). And Mom and them occasionally do Mommy's Dinners anyway, so now that I belong to the club... ^_^!!!! It was fun we chatted, talked about the baby & Erik and their birth stories for their kids. Then we ordered food which was GREAT I got Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti and had enough leftovers for lunch for tomorrow! Even after we finished dinner we ended up sitting around chatting for ever. We didn't get home until like 1030pm!! Even if they lectured me about the Brit a little bit, I still had a lot of fun. And apparently Erik isn't the only one that's going to call Mom "Granny", Aunt Joanie has decided that she's calling Mom "Aunt-Granny" and Dad "Uncle-Grandpa" and that she will have my two cousins (twin 13yr old boys) calling them that too from now on! LMAO!!!
My Other Half:
I missed a call from Erik while I was out at the Mommy's Dinner so I called him back when I got home. We chatted for a while. I had decided not to go to the Bridal Shower tomorrow because I don't feel 100% atm I'm so achy and swollen etc and TIRED I just don't feel up to either the drive or the long car ride! Erik offered to come and spend some time with me (a few hours) during the day tomorrow YAYYYYY!!!!! ^_^
