Let's not discuss what time I woke up this morning (thank you Mimi). Managed to roll over and fall back asleep for once, so got up around 930 & had Breakfast with Mom & Mimi. Did some more work on the shower invitations (98% done, and in the mail!). My reservation for childbirth & breastfeeding classes also went into the mail, apparently if you are a patient at the clinic at LIJ then the 200$ childbirth class & the 50$ breastfeeding class are free. Yay Me!
We ate the leftovers from last night for lunch, essentially killing of the last of the evil Passover foods. Mom & Mimi were cleaning, and carrying the Passover dishes to the basement, and since I couldn't participate I simply removed myself lol. I spent some time updating my registries.
Mom & I are officially going shopping Saturday lol. We're hitting Babies R Us' "Supper Baby Shower" in the afternoon, and doing some shopping while we're there. I might even be able to convince her to go look at Carter's in Bay terrace with me because they have the cutest cloths & really manageable prices!
We went out to dinner with my grandparents (yes my grandparents AGAIN) Chinese food. The food was DELICIOUS after 8 days of nothing but matzo! Erik didn't end up making it, but I hadn't really been expecting it; he got stuck inside all afternoon and was beat. I don't blame him for not wanting to drive to Queens and get home late if he's that tired. And when we were leaving 2 really nice things happened...
For one my grandfather pulled my mom aside and was (apparently) requesting to know how much she was going to need to spend on things for the baby. Mom says he'll "probably just write you a check". I hope he doesn't feel *obligated* to do any such thing, although I certainly could use the help! And he may change his mind when he finds out I've finalized my decision NOT to do either a Brit'Milah or a Pidyon Ha-ben. But w/e.
The second really nice thing was that as I go to walk out, the Chinese lady who works there/ owns the place comes over and she asks me if I'm expecting and I say yes. She asks when I'm due and I say June. She says "Ohhhh June GOOD month, I have my daughter in June! You look gooood! Have some candy?" and hands me a paper baggy full of Easter candy. I Love it!
I mean this woman has NO idea who I am, but she made me feel good, like I DON'T just look fat, I look pregnant and she thought I looked good. Plus I am defenitly loving the chocolate Easter eggs LOL (naughty Alena!)
So now I'm back home, just relaxing. I called Erik back (he called during dinner, and I didn't want to be rude on the phone at a restaurant) and we were chatting a little. I offered to visit him and he seemed fairly receptive to the idea so I asked about tomorrow. He was like "okay". I told him I'll be up early thanks to Mimi, and should I come earlier or later. He was like "up to you". So I said I'd call first :) Proli head out there about mid-day ^_^ It's going to be SOOOO nice to see him!!!!! And it's supposed to be BEAUTIFUL out tomorrow! Like sunny and 80+ deg!
:) Hit 30 weeks today too! yay me.
